L’elisir d’amore 28 Second Synopsis

Sweet, gullible Nemorino loves smart, wealthy Adina. She gets engaged to a passing soldier. Desperate Nemorino meets a fast-talking doctor who sells him a slow-acting love potion, actually red wine. As the soldier’s wedding looms, Nemorino enlists to get money for more potion. Suddenly, unknowingly, he inherits a fortune. As the village girls swoon, he thinks the potion works. Adina, moved to tears, buys out Nemorino’s army contract. Everyone lives happily ever after, especially the doctor, who sells a lot more potion.
