Boston Lyric Opera presents a new multi-media production of Britten’s haunting classic to launch the Company’s new Opera Annex: a fourth production designed for a found space outside the traditional theatre.

February 3, 5, 6, 2010
All performances 7:30pm. Approximate length is 2 hours 30 minutes, with one 20 minute intermission.

The Castle at Boston Park Plaza Hotel & Towers

This is a model of what the inside of The Castle will look like for the performance. Beneath the clock is a video screen that will show a live feed of performers in the basement. It is intended to offer a different perspective on the story being told on stage.

An aerial view of the Opera Annex’s space. On the right you can see where the orchestra will be placed in the center of the stage. The audience will sit on the risers in the middle.
