One hour before each performance, join us for a free half-hour "sneak peek" into the production. Opera Previews are held inside the Citi Performing Arts CenterSM Shubert Theatre, 265 Tremont Street, Boston. A little knowledge will go a long way to increase your appreciation of each opera.
Meet our lecturers:
Currently at the Boston Conservatory, Elizabeth Seitz has taught at several universities and is a frequent speaker for both BLO and the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Professor Seitz is both a pre-opera lecturer for BLO and the instructor of Opera 101.
BLO's pre-opera and Opera Insights lecturer, Richard Beams, directs Opera con Brio, an opera-education program now in its 29th year. He teaches at Pine Manor College and is a past recipient of NEH fellowships in both Opera and Literature and Verdi Studies.
