Boston Lyric Opera is seeking applications for Stage Management Intern(s) for the 2008 – 2009 season consisting of three mainstage operas; Offenbach’s Les contes d’Hoffmann, Dvorák’s Rusalka, and Mozart’s Don Giovanni. This position reports directly to the Production Stage Manager (PSM). Duties include assisting the PSM and ASM’s with day to day operations, rehearsals, and performances, as well as the creation of various production paperwork.
Unpaid internship; academic credit available.
REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to read music.
- Must have considerable stage management experience in an academic or professional setting.
- Must be computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Local Boston area student preferred.
Boston Lyric Opera performs in the Citi Center Shubert Theatre in Boston’s Theatre District.
