Stage Management Intern

Boston Lyric Opera is seeking an organized, motivated individual to provide support to the Stage Management team as a Production Intern for its 2009-2010 Season production of Idomeneo.

Dates:

• 3/21/10 - 5/4/10, opening night 4/23/10

The Ideal Candidate has stage management experience, reads music, likes opera, and is available full time from the beginning of rehearsals through opening night.

Schedule: Rehearsals are generally weekdays - afternoon and evening, Saturdays -morning and afternoon.

Duties include:

• Attending all staging rehearsals to become familiar with the staging/production, and assisting in gathering staging information
• Assisting SM team with preparation of running paperwork, daily set-up of rehearsal space, keeping rehearsal attendance, copying and distributing rehearsal paperwork
• Walking lights during lighting rehearsals
• Acting as a "floater" on deck during performances
